CONNECTICUT COTTAGE

When the children left for college, this Greenwich couple thought New York life had more exciting offerings, so off to Manhattan they went. After one short year, they soon discovered their love for Greenwich was calling them back.

A charming mid country  “cottage” with classic wall moldings and wide reclaimed wood flooring was the perfect fit.

The owner’s personality, with roots in the South and time spent in England, provided a great starting point. We added contemporary styling and mid-century pieces linking the old and new, creating modern traditions.

The primary color palette is Ivory and shades of Grey, giving the home a gentle air. The client’s confident personal style is expressed in the Hermes Orange lacquered walls in the dining room. The combination of varied styles, along with the client’s antique pieces creates a dynamic mix.
