One of the oldest farmhouses in Greenwich dating back to 1785, this back country property appears to be a sweet simple farmhouse. Once inside, the quaint exterior gives way to a large meandering home. The owners have an extensive collection of antiques and art, and wanted to give the home a more modern and sophisticated feel. Editing down their collection to only the essential keeps, we started anew.
I began by removing the oversized river rock stone fireplace that dominated the living room, and replaced it with a sleek, limestone fireplace. A quiet color palette highlighted the bold carpeting and the iconic designer pieces. The lighting fixtures were a combination of custom and vintage finds. Richly layered furnishings, fabrics, and dark contrasting woods with warm patented finishes gave a strong metropolitan feel to this quiet country home.
REVIEW "We initially contacted Andrea wanting to do a little updating in our Greenwich home. She was more than happy to work with whatever pieces we wanted to keep and her calm, lovely disposition is very appealing. She was very responsive to any questions or concerns and is extremely detail oriented. As it so often goes, we ended up doing a lot more than we initially thought we would. We found Andrea's taste to be impeccable. She found us some very special and unusual pieces always being conscious not to break the bank.
All in all we had a very pleasant experience working with Andrea and we are thrilled with the final results".
