This expansive Greenwich Tudor is home to a family of 4. The gracious scale of the rooms and architectural details were a perfect backdrop for subtle sophistication. We incorporated muted shades that match the rest of the houses palette, biscuit, linen, pale gray and shades of blue, all offset with dark accents and chalk white. The resulting look is serenely unified, strong and uncompromising.
We were tasked to incorporate the clients existing furniture, and update the interiors to give some of the traditional elements a modern edge. The client’s collection of interesting artifacts, combined with more contemporary furnishings brought dimension and personality to the space.
The biggest transformation came in remodel of the dark and dated kitchen. To create a modern, functional kitchen, we immediately removed the enormous center island and created 2 separate ones: one purposed for prep, and the other for in kitchen dining. The high gloss white millwork combined with the dark absolute stone counters, industrial lighting, and open shelving makes the kitchen the highlight of this home.
REVIEW "Andrea Jovine is an incredibly talented and creative designer. She has an impeccable sense of color and can find unique accessories to make your home have a "wow" factor. She is able to incorporate a home's natural surroundings with an updated, modern vision to create a scheme that will work with your tastes.
Andrea combines natural and muted colors with both contemporary and interesting pieces to create a timeless ambiance.
Andrea is also very open to incorporating her client's tastes and direction. We moved from another home and I wanted to use some of our existing furniture. Andrea had no problem finding ways to best use what we had while giving it a fresh look.
I would highly recommend her for any project.”
